Hi!... My name is Tony Alves and I am the Owner and Webmaster of two Sites, this one and My-Car-Picture.com. I am from Oshawa (a suburb of Toronto) Ontario, Canada and what you're about to read is my personal online experience. Please don't think of me as an Internet "Guru"... I am far from being one.
I own an 88 Monte Carlo and a 99 Trans Am and my Cars are the reason I became a Webmaster and started what I call "my journey online". I love my Cars so much, that I wanted to show them to the whole world, so I decided to put them up on the Web.
My Internet Service Provider (ISP) offered free hosting for a personal Web Page as part of the service, so I built one for my Cars. Before creating my Web Page, I didn't know anything about the Internet. In fact, I thought of the Internet as being a medium for entertainment purposes and shopping only. I never believed it was possible for the average person to make money online... Large companies yes, but not the average person.
Every minute I spent online building my Web Page, I was bombarded with offers that guaranteed that anybody could start a Home Business online and make money. It was so overwhelming, that I couldn't stop thinking "what if it's true that somebody like me can make money online with a Home Business?".
I had to find out if these claims were true, so I started checking out and trying some of these so called Home Business. I kept on trying, but none of them seemed to work for me. I did have some success with Multi Level Marketing (MLM) and Affiliate Programs, but the amount of money I earned from them was so little, that it's not even worth talking about.
Then, one day I came across a free course that was different from anything else I had tried. Even though I thought to myself "here we go again" I signed up. After all, it was different from all other courses I had seen before and best of all it was free.
The course was about creating a Hobby Site and then turning it into a Home Business. The best part was it's claim that Webmaster or not, anybody could do it. This concept really appealed to me, because after creating the Web Page for my Cars, I started thinking about creating a Web Site where other Car owners who loved their Cars just like I did mine, could show them to the whole world even if they didn't have the time, the resources, or the knowledge to do it themselves.

When I first started the Site, I didn't really believe that it would make any "real" money. To be honest, I did hope to eventually make enough money to at least cover hosting costs. However, I hoped but never really believed that my Hobby Site would eventually generate as much money as it does. The best thing is, as I continue building the Site, the income keeps on growing, so I guess I could call it a Home Business.
Anyway, I hope that by reading about my experience online, you'll get off the fence and start doing something... Anything!... Just get started. Don't just sit there and continue reading and wondering. Gather some courage and take the first step towards building your own Home Business.
The reason I started this Site is to hopefully help people that like me was unaware, or didn't really believe all the "hype" about this great opportunity called "Internet". I would be lying to you if I told you that I didn't start this Site with the intention of making money. However, whether you start your own "journey online" by using the programs I use and recommend here or not, doesn't really matter.
What matters is that you find a program that you believe will help you start your Small Home Business and take that extremely important first step. Just a word of caution though... Before you choose a program to try to turn it into a Home Business, make sure you do your research to make sure it's the right program for you.
Please keep in mind that you're going to spend countless hours in front of the computer turning your program into a successful Home Business. Wouldn't it be great if this work didn't feel so much like work, but more like having fun? What if you "worked" into turning your Hobby into a Home Business? Wouldn't that be more like having fun than working?
